MLS has a much larger player pool, higher average salaries, bigger stadiums, and greater broadcasting revenue than the A-League. The quality gap is substantial.
However, both leagues share some similarities as growing soccer markets in traditionally non-soccer-dominant countries. The A-League has produced talent that has moved to MLS and European leagues.
