The MLS Disciplinary Committee reviews incidents that occur during matches, including those not addressed by the match officials. They can issue suspensions, fines, and other punishments for violent conduct, simulation, and other offenses.
The committee reviews video evidence and can act independently of what was called on the field. Players have the right to appeal decisions. Repeat offenders face escalating penalties.
