The 2010 MLS SuperDraft took place on January 14, 2010, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The draft was held in conjunction with the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) annual convention. This was the eleventh edition of the MLS SuperDraft since the league's inception.
The first overall pick was Robbie Findley, a forward from Real Salt Lake who was selected by the expansion Philadelphia Union. Other notable selections included Teal Bunbury (fourth overall to Sporting Kansas City), Omar Gonzalez (third overall to LA Galaxy), and Sean Franklin (17th overall to LA Galaxy). The draft consisted of four rounds with 18 picks per round, totaling 72 selections.
The 2010 draft was particularly significant as it marked the first draft for Philadelphia Union, MLS's 16th franchise. The expansion draft and SuperDraft helped Philadelphia build their inaugural roster for the 2010 MLS season. Many players from this draft class went on to have successful MLS careers, with some like Omar Gonzalez becoming key contributors to both their clubs and the US Men's National Team.
